Dave Park

Co-Founder & CEO

Dave Park brings more than 40 years of hands-on expertise in construction, real estate development, and professional home inspections to POWRsoft. A University of Florida graduate with a Bachelor of Building Construction (BBC '82), Dave moved his family to Raleigh, North Carolina, over three decades ago to launch a local building business with his father. He began designing and constructing homes in the Triangle area in 1988 and has since been involved in the planning, building, developing, and inspection of thousands of residential and commercial properties.

In 2004–2005, Dave founded Advantage Home Inspection, which has grown under his leadership into one of the largest independent home inspection companies in North Carolina. Today, Advantage fields a team of approximately 25 licensed inspectors and delivers full-service residential, commercial, new-construction, septic, radon, mold, and environmental inspections across the greater Raleigh-Durham Triangle region and beyond. The company is a family-operated business, with Dave's wife Christie serving as CFO and other family members in key roles.

As a licensed General Contractor in both North Carolina and Florida, a North Carolina Real Estate professional, and a Certified Professional Inspector® (CPI) through InterNACHI, Dave has spent his career on the front lines of the industry. He regularly shares his expertise through educational seminars (Home Construction 101, Home Inspection 102, Home Warranty 411, and Risk Management 911), blog articles on inspection best practices, and community-focused initiatives.

It was this deep, real-world experience running a high-volume inspection operation that inspired Dave to create POWRsoft—purpose-built home inspection software that solves the exact scheduling, workflow, reporting, billing, and client-management challenges he and his team face every day. POWRsoft was developed by an inspector, for inspectors, to bring modern efficiency, accuracy, and scalability to the profession.

His guiding philosophy—"Do More, Give More, Be More"—continues to drive both Advantage Home Inspection and POWRsoft's mission to raise standards and empower home inspection professionals nationwide.

Scott Butler is a highly accomplished software engineer and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience architecting and delivering scalable enterprise-grade software platforms and mission-critical applications for both large corporations and specialized industries.

A Miami University of Ohio Computer Science graduate, Scott founded iTech Professionals in 2009, establishing it as a premier development firm specializing in the Servoy enterprise platform, Java, DevOps, and high volume applications. His firm has built sophisticated client-server, web, and mobile solutions trusted by major global enterprises, including JP Morgan Chase, DNA Diagnostics Center, Dollar Shave Club, Central National-Gottesman, Shutterfly, and Christie's auction house. Scott is widely recognized in the Servoy community as a thought leader and frequent speaker at ServoyWorld conferences.

For more than 15 years, Scott has worked on developing tailored software solutions for the home inspection industry. His deep domain expertise began when he built the first prototype of the home inspection management software for Advantage Home Inspection in Servoy. That early prototype laid the foundation for modernizing inspection workflows — from scheduling and reporting to client management and operations. Today, POWRsoft has evolved into a cutting-edge, powerful, modern platform built with Supabase, Flutter, and Google Cloud, delivering enterprise-grade performance, reliability, and a seamless user experience for inspection companies of any size.

This hands-on experience running real-world inspection software, combined with his enterprise-level technical expertise, inspired Scott to co-found POWRsoft. As CTO, he leads the technical architecture and development of the platform — delivering a powerful, inspector-first SaaS solution that integrates advanced reporting, seamless billing, mobile capabilities, and scalable workflows designed to grow with any inspection company.

Scott's guiding philosophy is straightforward: build software that inspectors actually love to use — intuitive, reliable, and forged from decades of real-world enterprise and industry experience. His leadership continues to drive POWRsoft's mission to elevate standards and empower home inspection professionals across the country.
